The Blue Wedges coalition is a ‘community based’ association formed in response to the Victorian State Government's proposed deepening and mass scale dredging of the shipping channels in Port Phillip Bay, The Rip and Yarra River.
Bay Vigil www.bayvigil.org A group of people who are deeply concerned about Port Philip Bay and the plan to dredge a deeper channel through the Bay to the Port of Melbourne.
Western Port www.svcag.org
Site of the Southern Victorian Community Action Group. A group of residents and local businesses who are interested in promoting the residential, commercial and tourist development of Southern Victoria, including the Westernport, Mornington Peninsula, Greater Dandenong and Gippsland areas.

Site of the Western Port Action Group. The people involved in starting up this group are concerned about the future of this Port of Hastings project and wish to spread the word that something big is about to happen and it may affect many people, not just in Hastings, but in Somerville, Lyndhurst, Pearcedale, Officer, Pakenham as well as those living along the routes that may be used for the infrastructure needed to be upgraded to support such a huge project.
